Week 9 Notes
The feedback we got from the Himatangi folk about our interim presentation:
Notes from talking with our tutors about the direction of our project:
- We had a lot of little concepts; they would've liked to have seen something more developed
- Our of the concepts we did have, they liked the kinetic dune sculpture that moved with the wind.
Notes from talking with our tutors about the direction of our project:
- No other groups are doing kinetic sculptures, so this makes our unique.
- Representing the changing dunes is also a unique idea
- We could add a light aspect as well as kinetic?
- They also liked the whitebait idea we mentioned last week (though we haven't gone further with it yet than talking about it)
- Additionally, whitebait themselves have interesting colours and patterns we could use as inspiration.
- Having multiple overlapping layers can create a powerful image.
We concluded the same issue as we had at interim: we have a lot of good ideas, but they're all undeveloped. Plan for the next week is to get more concrete ideas out; make models, visualise things properly. We only have two weeks until presentation so we need to be getting towards finalizing this.
